Physics of Archery
Upon its release from the bow, the arrow experiences a phenomenon known as the “Archer’s Paradox.” This describes how, due to the tension on the arrow, it begins to bend and fly away from the intended path mid-flight. As a result, an archer who aims directly at a target will not be as accurate as one who aims slightly outside of it.
